Rustic V Groove 3 Ledged Doors

Oak ledge doors are a classic for period properties.  They are found in all styles of homes from
country cottages to barn conversions. . All of our doors are handmade in our factory in Sheffield
using predominantly French oak.  Heritage deal direct with sawmills in Southern Normandy, Loire
Valley and Bourgogne areas of France to ensure we get beautiful quality oak.  We ensure that all of
our oak is correctly seasoned and kiln dried for use inside the home.
The above doors are available in Select Rustic and Prime Grade and I have put the Spec for these
grades below

Select Rustic Doors
May Contain;
- Knots up to 50mm in diameter and 10mm depth
- Filler in knots if they are more than 10mm deep
- Grubworm (up to 50mm Long, 10mm Deep)
- Breakout/Rough Patches (2mm Deep, 20% of face maximum)
- Sapwood (30% of face maximum)
- Cosmetic Splits

Prime Doors
Prime V Groove doors are manufactured using prime oak veneers over a jointed oak core. The face
of the boards will be virtually clear with only the very occasional small knot visible. The edges of the
door are solid oak and will show joints between sections of the oak core. Prime oak doors are made
with veneer to keep costs practical and to ensure the best grade of oak is visible on each face of the
door.
